Many NHS hospitals today offer the comfort and benefits associated with private healthcare facilities with the reassurance and support of a trusted, state-of-the-art NHS setting. Indeed, in contrast to most private hospitals, these units also have immediate access to emergency care facilities on site should a complication develop.When you need medical support from the County Medical network, we’ll arrange treatment in a private wing of an NHS partner hospital that has been selected for the comfort and quality of care it offers. We recognise that you may prefer to receive treatment outside this network, so our plans also provide for this option.
County Medical bases its clinical network around Circle Health Group and some NHS private patient wings. We do this to ensure we have control over the standard of care you receive whilst maintaining an extensive national reach.
Circle Health Group is the largest chain of private hospitals in the UK with 59 hospitals and treatment centres nationally. You are not obliged to use our network for your treatment and if you choose to go out of network you will receive an equivalent funding for your treatment.

Approved Procedures
When you need medical support from the County Medical network, we’ll arrange treatment in a private wing of our partner hospital which has been selected for the comfort and quality of care it offers. We recognise that you may prefer to receive treatment outside this network, so our plans also provide for this option.
Funding for treatment outside our network must be agreed by us in writing before any expenses are incurred. We will set limits for the costs, depending on the medical condition and in line with those for our network doctors and facilities.
What you can Claim when not using a County Medical Hospital
Claimable treatment under this policy – Hospital charges for surgery, including accommodation, theatre fees and meals, nursing care, drugs and surgical dressings.
